Two Strangers Sailing Different Ships

August 16, 2009

I wish I was the one,

To make your heart skip a beat,

To make your voice bleat!

I wish I could be the one,

To make you complete!

I hope that our friendship,

Can still blossom possum,

Not unravel like a ball of cotton!

I hope that you will never forget,

Or neglect me,

This is my plea,

I hope one day you will see,

what our friendship meant to me.

I will be strong,

I'll keep the bond,

Like a magic wand,

I'll mend the chord,

So that one day you will get on board.

Two strangers,

Sailing different ships,

Taking different trips,

One day to meet again on an magical eclipse,

no longer joined at the hips,

no more visible rifts,

But rather celebrating,

A friendship gained,

that grew and developed from such strain.

So lend me your ear,

From time to time,

Realise what happened was not a crime,

Knowing the time was right for you to shine,

know I know you had to earn a dime,

know I know you are no longer mine,

But id love to sip one day,

In the seas ahead,

From the same cup of wine,

Knowing that all worked out just fine!
