Blind and Obsolete

March 31, 2014

I rewind and delete,

When I feel blind and obsolete,

To be kind to myself,

I close my weary eyes,

So I can get some sleep,

And forget the hurt,

That a happy heart can't keep.

The process is difficult and steep,

Still I must always take the leap,

Off into the ocean deep,

I watch my blood seep,

like ever expanding veins,

Seething through the open seas,

washing away the stains,

Allowing me to pull back the reins.
